A5 Filofax vs Erin Condren Life Planner {First Impressions Comparison}

I recently ordered a new planner for my 2015 planner and I decided on the Erin Condren Life Planner after hearing so many awesome reviews! Now I am a Filofax girl! That was my first planner purchase and I have loved using it; but, I thought it would be a good idea to review a different planner and hopefully it will help you out when deciding on your planner purchase. I do have a comparison video as well on my channel that I will link down below.

Here are some of the Pros and Cons of each planner that I mentioned in my video.

Comparison Charts: These were included in my video but they are here on the blog to help refresh your memory.

12 Weeks! {Pregnancy Update}

Before I was pregnant I read a good many blogs by moms who were pregnant or already have kids. One of the ideas I picked up was to do some blog posts in a format that gives some insight into the pregnancy.

So look forward to these every couple weeks! Let's start with the first one!!

How far along: 12 weeks and 4 days!

Baby size: 2 1/2 inches and 1/2 an ounce! So tiny!

Weight gain: I have gained more than I thought I would in the first trimester. I didn't eat a lot before I was pregnant and now that I try to eat 3 meals a day I think my body has decided to store some extras! Haha!

Belly button:In :)

Maternity clothes: At 8 weeks I bought one pair of maternity shorts after I woke up one morning and was bloated beyond comprehension. The next day I fit into my normal shorts so I tucked the maternity shorts away. Now...at 12 weeks I don't fit in my pre-pregnancy shorts (sad face) and the maternity shorts are still a bit too big. Enter the BELLA BAND! Life savor!

Gender: We don't know yet.

Movement: Not yet! I'm looking forward to it though. Sometimes I think I feel some fluttering, but then I convince myself it's too early still and that is must be gas (can we talk about that please!!!)

Sleep: At about 8 weeks I started waking up every night to use the bathroom and it hasn't stopped happening. Plus, I was a tummy sleeper so I'm trying to adjust to sleeping on my side.

Food aversions: I don't have an specifically.

Food cravings: Watermelon (ahem...all day long!)

Labor signs: No!

Best moment this week: Watching my belly grow some! It has been slight, but I can tell it's not just bloat anymore... this is baby :)

Non-baby-related favorite moment this week: Spending time with new found friends :)

What I miss: Fitting in my size two shorts and jeans... :( Will I ever be back to those lol

What I'm looking forward to: Feeling the baby move around! Seeing family and friends for the first time since announcing we were pregnant!

We're Pregnant!!!

Wow...just typing out that title was surreal! I still can't wrap my head around the fact that God has blessed us with this little one.

It was a surprise the day we found out, and it continues to be a surprise everyday as I watch my body change and track the progress this little one is making.
I remember when I first found out I couldn't believe it. I even waited until the next morning to take another test (just to be sure). When that next test came up positive it was just a marching band of tears flowing from my eyes. Now... I have to be honest here; those tears that were a flowin' contained every emotion I have every experienced in my life.
Love, confusion, blessed, scared, happy, nervous, etc. These tears just encompassed all those emotions.

After a few days of very strong (my husband can vouch for the very) emotions and my tear ducts drying up after all my little episodes, I finally felt at peace. Not that I wasn't excited, but in shock. I remember lying down on my bed mid-day (yes...I was exhausted) and just placed my hands on my belly, closed my eyes, and prayed. I cried out to my heavenly Father and thanked Him for this blessing and asked for his guidance as I embark on this new journey of morning sickness and bloating up like a balloon. The Lord is so good because it was at that moment that I was at peace and overwhelmed with love. There is so much peace in knowing that God is in control :)

I have SO MUCH love for this little baby growing inside of me and I feel like each day takes forever to get through. I just want to meet him/her!!!

"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Psalm 139:13-14
